OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, verbally
inspired Word of God and that it is, therefore, our
final authority in matters of faith, practice, and
conduct.

We believe in the eternally existing, triune God:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ in His
virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in
His vicarious and atoning death through His
shed blood, in His bodily resurrection , and in
His ascension to the right hand of the Father
where He now acts as Mediator and Advocate.

We believe in the personal, imminent return of
the Lord Jesus Christ for His own, in His later
return in power and glory with His own to reign in
righteousness over the earth and in the
resurrection of both the saved and the lost -- they
that are saved into the resurrection of life and
they that are lost unto the resurrection of
damnation.

We believe that Heaven is the place of eternal
blessedness for the saved and that Hell is the
place of eternal conscious punishment for the
lost.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is
absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and
sinful men and that all who receive the Lord
Jesus Christ by faith are born again and become
the children of God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy
Spirit whose indwelling in all believers enables
them to live godly lives.

Literature.  He was director of Youth for Christ in Pennsylvania
and a youth pastor at a Baptist church in Galesburg, IL.  Dave

Dave started facilitating
DivorceCare in 1998.  DivorceCare is
an on-going support group that meets on Wednesday nights
at Grace Presbyterian Church.  After their marriage in 1999,
they started facilitating DivorceCare as a couple for 5 years.
After seeing more and more second and third marriages
breaking up and people going through the DivorceCare
series,  God laid it on their hearts to work with remarried
couples before they divorce.  Dave & Doreen started Insightful
Steps
in 2003 and received their 501c not for profit status.
Their first Step Family Support group started the Summer of
2004.  Their hearts' passion have always been with helping
individuals who are going through a divorce and if possible
working with them on reconciliation.
Based off of Joseph's
story in Genesis 50:20,
Dave & Doreen started the 50/20
Vision series of classes as another step after divorce to help
guide individuals, or transition them, into their new role in life
and prepare them to be a more whole and healthy person in
Christ  "before" they meet and possibly remarry again. This
class has been so successful that, people in all walks of life
and denomination, no matter where they are, divorced,
widowed, still married, single, engaged, are attending their
50/20 Vision classes.

Dave has over 30 years of teaching adult Bible classes.   Dave
help organize and teach Grace Presbyterian Church's first
single adult Sunday morning class called Crossroads for five
years.  As more and more of the singles were getting
remarried, a new class was formed called Stepping Stones.
Dave taught the Stepping Stones class for several more years.
The spring of 2009 Dave & Doreen felt the Lord calling them to
Richwoods Christian Church for His service.  Richwoods is
quickly growing with young people and families.  The Lord is
moving in Peoria, IL.  Please Join Us In Worshipping Jesus
Our Lord and Savior!

OUR STEP-FAMILY
Dave & I became a step family on September 3,
1999.   We love each other dearly and all our
children.  Most of the time it's smooth sailing, but
we have issues that we have to deal with just as
with any family.  The picture below was taken
June 23, 2004.  We haven't been able to get
everyone together since then to get an updated
picture.  Dave has 4 children. Starting back left
stands Jeremy & Matt from Dave's first marriage.
Jeremy is married to Jenny and they live in North
Carolina.  They have two beautiful little girls
Ashley, who is 2 in this picture and Kelcey, 5
weeks old.  From Dave's second marriage, he
has Katy, 17 & Tim 14 years old.   Katy and Tim
live with their mom and step dad.   I was married
young at 18 years of age and had no kids when I
divorced the first time.   Then I had my first son
Mitchell who is 23 in this picture standing on the
right of Dave.  I was a single mom for 7 years
raising him.   Eric and Tyler are from my second
marriage.  Eric is in the wheelchair.  Eric is 14
years old and Tyler, our youngest is leaning
against Eric is 10 in this picture.  Eric and Tyler
were both born premature and have cerebral
palsy.   Our family has a lot going on at all times.
Dave & I have made it a priority to put Jesus
Christ in the center our marriage and serve Him.
Come join the journey with us by attending one of
our Insightful Steps workshops or support groups.
